Providing a Helping Hand along the Recovery Journey
Building a better future through compassion
This nonprofit charity was created by the family of Robert Spiewak who died on December 28, 2012 at the young age of 24.
Rob was very independent, adventurous, competitive, smart and witty, a dare devil and he could be very hard-headed. He was kind to people, especially young children. He loved his music, Philly sports teams and being at the beach. Like so many children, as he entered his teenage years, Rob tried drugs and alcohol. And like far too many, this led to addiction. For over four years, Rob battled this disease and its cycle of shame, hope and frustration. During that same time, hls family endured the same cycle.
Rob died as a result of a drug overdose; the end of a four and a half year struggle with drug addiction.
